Kobudo

This class is open to adults as well as teenagers (13 and up, or by invitation). It has a focus on Kobudo, the Ancient Okinawan, weapon based, martial art. This class is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays before the Adults and all-ranks class. The art of Kobudo teaches a large variety of weapons that were used historically in Okkinawa. In this class, you will improve your hand-eye coordination, leg strength, and more, while becoming familiar with a large variety of weapons.

Kobudo is an excellent addition to any aspiring martial artist’s skill set. If you are interested in a weapons-based martial art, come try a free class. Typically, students take part in Karate, then add in Kobudo to supplement their training. However, this does not need to be the case. If you are interested strictly in Kobudo, feel free to book a class!

There is a small number of Dojo-owned weapons for use by newcomers, and students are encouraged to purchase their own equipment, as needed, in order to deal with growing class sizes. However, you will not need anything but yourself and gym clothing for your first class.
