“When you reach those times when you think you know everything, it just means that you did not look hard enough to improve what you already know. Then let’s talk about what you don’t know.”
Sensei Jerrad Sagan began training in 1986 while he was still a child. He has been teaching since 1995. He likes to run High energy classes that focus on conditioning and Karate theory.
A word from Sensei Jerrad Sagan:
“I am a supervisor of an IT department in an international IT company and Karate instructor by night.
Karate has been a positive part of my life since I was a kid and I first met Sensei Neil Dunnigan. His ability to motivate and teach karate in a way that made sense to me, while also instilling an attitude of respect and control was always a positive aspect in my life.
During my years of training I gained an appreciation for the subtleties of the movements in Uechi-Ryu, the training regiments and their purpose and their real world applications through Sensei Dunnigan and his senior students who taught there.
At the request of Sensei Dunigan I began teaching and observed how it helped to take my understanding of Karate to a new level. I started seeing the improvements it brought to people’s lives through greater confidence, strength (both physical and personal) and abilities. I continue to train and teach today to help others grow in their martial art.”
From the Admin:
Sensei Jerrad Sagan is known for his classes that are a good mix of high intensity exercise and traditional karate. He can explain quite a lot while saying very little. He has something that his Sensei, Sensei Neil Dunnigan, has: the ability to correct you without making you feel small. That is why I believe that he will be able to carry on Sensei Dunnigan’s legacy as a great instructor.
